Swiss legal framework

Designed for Swiss websites

Swiss websites must inspire trust and clearly inform visitors about how their data is processed. The new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nLPD), in force since 1 September 2023, sets out three structuring principles: lawfulness of processing (art. 6 nLPD), data security (art. 8 nLPD), and the duty to inform (art. 19 nLPD).

Turiya does not replace legal advice: the automated pre-audit identifies the LPD-related visible signals that any visitor could observe publicly (privacy policy, cookies, forms, legal notice). The goal: give you a quick first read so you can spot the visible items that warrant verification, or that are worth forwarding to your provider.

What Turiya does not do

Turiya is an automated pre-audit. It does not replace a lawyer, a pentester, a web agency, or a full human audit.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

Is this a real audit?

Turiya is an automated pre-audit. It analyses the public, visible elements of your site to quickly identify the signals worth verifying. It does not replace a full human audit, but it offers a quick, accessible first read — particularly useful for Swiss websites that want to verify their visible transparency.

Is this a pentest?

No. Turiya performs no intrusion, no exploitation, no login attempt, and no aggressive testing. The analysis is strictly passive and only covers publicly accessible elements, just as a visitor or an external verification tool would.

Does Turiya verify my LPD compliance?

Turiya does not provide certification or legal advice on your apparent compliance with the LPD. The pre-audit analyses LPD-related visible signals: privacy policy, cookies, forms, contact information, transparency signals. The report helps you identify the points that warrant verification, without replacing a thorough legal analysis.

Does it replace a lawyer?

No. Turiya does not replace a lawyer, a legal advisor, or a full human audit. It is an automated pre-audit that gives a first read of the visible elements. If the report flags a sensitive point, your usual legal counsel remains the right person to assess its real impact.

Why mention the LPD?

The LPD is the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, in force since 1 September 2023. For Swiss websites, it sets out a clear duty to inform (art. 19 nLPD) and principles of lawfulness (art. 6 nLPD) and security (art. 8 nLPD). Turiya helps to spot certain visible signals tied to this transparency, without claiming to cover the full set of legal obligations.

What will I receive with the full diagnostic?

You receive by email an automated report that summarises the analysed points, the detected signals, the items to watch, and simple recommendations to improve the trust, visible security, and apparent compliance of your site. The report is delivered as a standalone HTML file (openable in any browser) and as Markdown.

Why pay 29 CHF if the preview is free?

The free preview only checks a few visible signals, on an indicative basis. The full diagnostic analyses more than 20 criteria, anchored on the visible principles of the nLPD, and provides a detailed report that you can use directly — for yourself or for your provider.

Is my data stored?

During the free preview, the URL is not retained. With the full diagnostic, your URL, your email and your report are stored in the database for 24 months, so you can retrieve your report or request a follow-up. You can request early deletion of your data at any time by writing to contact@turiya-audit.ch.

What should I do if the report flags a data-protection point?

You can fix simple items yourself, forward the report to your webmaster, or seek legal advice if the situation calls for it. Turiya is a starting point for knowing what to verify in priority, in a directly usable format.

What types of sites is this useful for?

Turiya is particularly suited to vitrine websites, freelancers, SMEs, associations, fiduciaries, therapists, craftspeople, and small Swiss organisations that want to quickly check the visible signals of their site. The service is less suited to complex sites that require authentication or to multi-tenant marketplaces.
